Prompt From Video

Video to Prompt — Get AI Prompts From Any Video

Upload a video or paste a link to turn its scenes, camera work, motion, lighting, and audio into model-ready AI prompts.

Analyze a reference video

Understand the reference

What is video to prompt?

Video to prompt turns a finished clip into a production-ready description. Instead of guessing why a reference works, you get its shot order, subject behavior, camera language, lighting, motion, visual style, and audible cues in a structure an AI generator can understand.

Prompt From Video is both a reference analyzer and a video prompt generator. Use it to study an edit, preserve continuity across a longer piece, or create a prompt from video evidence before adapting the result for a particular model.

How it works

Go from reference clip to reusable direction in three focused steps.

  1. 01

    Add the reference

Choose a supported file or paste a public link. The tool validates the source before analysis begins.

  2. 02

    Inspect every scene

Kie.ai maps timestamps, shots, composition, lighting, motion, sound, and transitions across the complete timeline.

  3. 03

    Use the right format

Switch between model tabs, copy the best version, export the full breakdown, or continue into recreation.

Upload or paste a link

Start with a local MP4, MOV, or WEBM file, or use a public video URL when the server supports link fetching.

Long-video scene breakdown

Videos over two minutes are divided into sequential sections with timestamps, shots, transitions, and complete ending coverage.

Six useful prompt formats

Get purpose-built output for Kling, Veo 3, Sora, Seedance, and Runway alongside a flexible generic format.

One-click recreation

Move a selected result into the login-gated recreation flow, choose quality, and compare the generated clip beside its reference.

Practical answers

Frequently asked questions

What is video to prompt?

It is the process of analyzing a reference clip and translating its scenes, subjects, movement, camera choices, lighting, style, and sound into written instructions an AI video model can follow.

Which video formats can I upload?

You can upload MP4, MOV, and WEBM files up to 20MB and three minutes. Larger files should be supplied through the URL tab when URL analysis is available on the server.

Can I paste a YouTube or TikTok link?

Yes on deployments that provide the yt-dlp runtime dependency. The URL tab checks availability before accepting a link and gives a clear message when the downloader is not installed.

What happens with videos longer than two minutes?

Clips over two minutes receive a sequential scene breakdown split into timeline segments of at most two minutes, so the ending is not lost in one oversized prompt.

Which AI video models are supported?

Every analysis returns tailored formats for Kling, Veo 3, Sora, Seedance, and Runway, plus a portable generic version you can adapt elsewhere.

Does the tool include audio details?

Yes. It records dialogue, sound effects, ambience, music, and silence when they are present. The Veo 3 format gives audio direction special emphasis.

Can I copy or download the result?

You can copy any model-specific result in one click or export the complete analysis as JSON or Markdown, including the scene timeline and audio cues.

Can I recreate the reference with AI?

After analysis, signed-in users can send a selected result into the existing recreation flow, choose a generation tier, review the credit cost, and compare the new output with the original.

Are uploads used as a public gallery?

No. User uploads are not published in the inspiration library. That library contains only curated fixtures, and temporary Kie.ai uploads expire automatically.
